Zomig

Description

Zomig is a medication that helps relieve migraine headaches by narrowing blood vessels around the brain. The active ingredient in Zomig, zolmitriptan, works by reducing the swelling of these blood vessels, which in turn helps to alleviate migraine symptoms. Zomig is suitable for adults who experience migraines with or without aura.

Dosage and usage

You should take Zomig as soon as you feel a migraine headache coming on. The usual starting dose is 2.5 mg, but you may need to take another 2.5 mg dose after 2 hours if your symptoms return. The maximum dose in a 24-hour period should not exceed 10 mg. If your migraine does not improve after taking Zomig or if you experience more than 3 migraines in a 30-day period, consult your doctor. Remember, Zomig is not a preventive medication and should only be taken when you have a migraine.
