Vesicare

Description

Vesicare is a medication that helps treat overactive bladder symptoms such as urinary frequency, urgency, and incontinence. The active ingredient in Vesicare is solifenacin, which belongs to a class of medications called antimuscarinics. It works by relaxing the bladder muscles, reducing the sudden and frequent urge to urinate. Vesicare is suitable for adults who experience these overactive bladder symptoms and need help managing them.

Dosage and usage

You should take Vesicare exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider. The usual starting dose is 5 mg once daily, which can be increased to 10 mg once daily if needed. Swallow the tablet whole with water, and do not crush, chew, or break it. Avoid consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice while taking Vesicare. Remember to follow your healthcare provider's instructions regarding the duration of treatment. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
