Trimovate cream

Description

Trimovate cream is a topical medication that contains three active ingredients: clobetasone butyrate, oxytetracycline, and nystatin. Clobetasone butyrate is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, while oxytetracycline and nystatin are antibiotics that help fight bacterial and fungal infections, respectively. This cream is used to treat various skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, and infected insect bites. It is suitable for adults and children over two years old.  

Dosage and usage

Apply a thin layer of Trimovate Cream to the affected area(s) of the skin two to three times a day. Do not cover the treated area with airtight dressings unless directed by your doctor. It is important to wash your hands before and after applying the cream. Avoid contact with the eyes. If you accidentally swallow the cream, seek medical advice immediately. If your skin condition does not improve within seven days, consult your healthcare provider.

Each gram of Trimovate Cream contains 0.5 mg clobetasone butyrate, 30 mg oxytetracycline, and 100,000 units of nystatin. The cream also includes liquid paraffin, cetostearyl alcohol, macrogol, and white soft paraffin as excipients.  

Side effects

Common side effects of Trimovate Cream may include skin irritation, itching, or a burning sensation at the application site. Serious side effects such as allergic reactions or skin thinning are rare but possible. If you experience severe skin reactions or any signs of an allergic response, such as swelling or difficulty breathing, seek immediate medical attention.

Do not use Trimovate Cream if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Avoid applying the cream to broken or ulcerated skin. Consult your doctor before using this cream if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a skin infection caused by viruses (e.g., herpes or chickenpox).
