Trajenta

Description

Trajenta is a medication that helps lower blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes. The active ingredient in Trajenta is linagliptin, which belongs to a class of drugs called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors. Linagliptin works by increasing the levels of incretin hormones in your body, which helps to stimulate the release of insulin and reduce the production of glucose by the liver. Trajenta is suitable for adults with type 2 diabetes who need to improve their blood sugar control.

The usual recommended dose of Trajenta is 5 mg taken once daily, with or without food. Your healthcare provider may adjust the dosage based on your individual response to the medication. It's important to follow your doctor's instructions carefully. Do not exceed the recommended dose, as it will not provide additional benefits and may increase the risk of side effects. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
