Terra-Cortril

Description

Terra-Cortril is a combination medication containing oxytetracycline and hydrocortisone. Oxytetracycline is an antibiotic that helps fight bacterial infections, while hydrocortisone is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation. This combination is effective in treating various skin conditions caused by bacterial infections and inflammation. Terra-Cortril is suitable for those dealing with skin issues like eczema, dermatitis, or insect bites. 

Dosage and usage

Apply a small amount of Terra-Cortril to the affected skin area 2-3 times a day. Make sure to wash your hands before and after applying the medication. Avoid getting it in your eyes, nose, or mouth. Do not cover the treated area with a bandage unless instructed by your doctor. If your condition does not improve after a few days of use or if it worsens, contact your healthcare provider.

Each gram of Terra-Cortril ointment contains 3 mg of oxytetracycline hydrochloride and 10 mg of hydrocortisone. The ointment also includes liquid paraffin, wool fat, and cetostearyl alcohol as excipients.

Common side effects of Terra-Cortril may include skin irritation, itching, or redness at the application site. Serious side effects like allergic reactions or severe skin irritation should be reported to your doctor immediately.
