Description

Telfast is an antihistamine medication that contains the active ingredient fexofenadine. It works by blocking the action of histamine in your body, helping to relieve symptoms of allergies such as sneezing, itching, and a runny nose. Telfast is suitable for adults and children over 12 years old who are looking for relief from hay fever or allergic rhinitis.  

Dosage and usage

For adults and children over 12 years old, the recommended dosage of Telfast is one tablet (120 mg) once a day. It is best to take Telfast on an empty stomach with a glass of water. Do not exceed the recommended dose. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. The effects of Telfast can last for 24 hours. If you experience any severe side effects or if your symptoms do not improve, consult your doctor.

Each Telfast tablet contains 120 mg of fexofenadine hydrochloride as the active ingredient. The tablet also includes microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized maize starch, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, povidone, titanium dioxide (E171), colloidal anhydrous silica, macrogol 400, and iron oxide.  

Side effects

Common side effects of Telfast may include headache, drowsiness, dizziness, and nausea. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include signs of an allergic reaction such as rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, and trouble breathing. If you experience any of these symptoms, seek medical help right away.  

Precautions

Do not take Telfast if you are allergic to fexofenadine or any other ingredients in the product. Avoid Telfast if you have severe kidney disease. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using Telfast. Inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking, especially if you are on medications that may interact with fexofenadine. If you have any underlying medical conditions, such as heart disease or high blood pressure, speak to your healthcare provider before starting Telfast.
