Dosage and usage

You should take Simvastatin exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The usual starting dose is 10-20 mg once daily in the evening. Your doctor may adjust the dose depending on your cholesterol levels. It is important to follow a healthy diet low in saturated fats while taking Simvastatin. Remember to take it regularly to get the most benefit. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
