QVAR

Description

Qvar is an inhaler used to help manage asthma by reducing inflammation in your airways. The active ingredient in Qvar is beclometasone, which belongs to a group of medicines called corticosteroids. Beclometasone works by decreasing the swelling and irritation in your lungs, making it easier for you to breathe. Qvar is suitable for adults and children with asthma to control and prevent symptoms like wheezing, shortness of breath, and coughing.

Dosage and usage

The usual dose of Qvar for adults and children over 12 years old is 1 or 2 puffs twice a day. Your doctor may adjust your dose based on your asthma severity. Remember to rinse your mouth with water after using Qvar to prevent throat irritation. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, but do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. If you experience worsening breathing or need to use your rescue inhaler more often, contact your doctor.
