Perindopril

Description

Perindopril is a medication that belongs to a class of drugs known as ACE inhibitors. It works by relaxing blood vessels, making it easier for your heart to pump blood around your body. This helps lower blood pressure and reduces the workload on your heart. Perindopril is suitable for individuals with high blood pressure or heart failure. It is also used to prevent heart attacks and strokes in people with cardiovascular disease.

Dosage and usage

Your doctor will determine the right dosage of Perindopril for you based on your medical condition and response to treatment. The typical starting dose is 4 mg once a day. Your doctor may adjust the dose as needed. It's important to take Perindopril regularly to get the most benefit. If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up. If you experience symptoms like dizziness or fainting, contact your doctor immediately.
