Noriday is a progestogen-only pill that contains the active ingredient norethisterone. Noriday is suitable for women who are looking for a form of contraception that does not contain estrogen and is safe for use by women who may not be able to take combined hormonal contraceptives.
You should take one Noriday tablet at the same time every day for 28 days without a break. It is important to follow this schedule to ensure the pill's effectiveness. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, even if it means taking two tablets in one day. There are no breaks between packs, so you should start a new pack the day after finishing the current one. If you vomit within 3-4 hours of taking a pill, it may not have been fully absorbed, so take another tablet. The effects of Noriday last for 24 hours, so it is crucial to take it at the same time daily. If you experience severe abdominal pain, chest pain, or a severe headache while taking Noriday, seek medical advice immediately.
Each Noriday tablet contains 350 micrograms of norethisterone. The tablet also includes lactose, maize starch, povidone, and magnesium stearate.
Common side effects of Noriday may include irregular menstrual bleeding, headaches, and breast tenderness. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include severe allergic reactions, chest pain, and signs of a blood clot such as swelling of the leg or sudden breathlessness.
