Mizollen is an antihistamine medication that contains the active ingredient levocetirizine. It works by blocking the effects of histamine in your body, which helps to relieve symptoms of allergies such as sneezing, itching, and watery eyes. Mizollen is suitable for adults and children over 6 years old who suffer from conditions like hay fever, allergic rhinitis, or chronic idiopathic urticaria.
For adults and children over 6 years old, the usual dosage of Mizollen is 5 mg once daily. Mizollen tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. It is important not to exceed the recommended dose. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. If you accidentally take too much Mizollen, seek medical advice immediately.
Each Mizollen tablet contains 5 mg of levocetirizine dihydrochloride as the active ingredient. The other ingredients include lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal anhydrous silica, and magnesium stearate.
Common side effects of Mizollen may include drowsiness, fatigue, dry mouth, and headache. Serious side effects are rare but may include signs of an allergic reaction such as rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, or trouble breathing.
