Microgynon 30

Description

  • Combined oral contraceptive pill (two sex hormones)
  • Highly effective
  • Not suitable for women who are breastfeeding

Microgynon 30 is a combined oral contraceptive pill that contains two active ingredients, ethinylestradiol, and levonorgestrel. Ethinylestradiol is a synthetic version of the female sex hormone estrogen, while levonorgestrel is a progestogen. When taken correctly, Microgynon 30 helps prevent pregnancy by stopping ovulation, thickening the cervical mucus to prevent sperm from reaching the egg, and thinning the lining of the uterus to prevent implantation. This contraceptive is suitable for women looking for an effective and convenient birth control method.
