Metosyn

Description

Metosyn is a topical medication that contains the active ingredient fluocinonide, a potent corticosteroid. It works by reducing inflammation, itching, and redness associated with various skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis. Metosyn is suitable for adults and children over 1 year old with inflammatory skin conditions that have not responded well to milder treatments.

Dosage and usage

For adults, apply a thin layer of Metosyn to the affected area 2-3 times a day. For children, the application should be limited to a maximum of 5 days. Avoid using Metosyn on your face unless instructed by your doctor. Do not cover the treated area with a bandage or dressing unless directed. If you accidentally swallow the medication, seek medical advice immediately.

Each gram of Metosyn ointment contains 0.05 mg of fluocinonide as the active ingredient. The ointment also contains white soft paraffin, liquid paraffin, and propylene glycol as excipients.
