To use Ketoconazole Shampoo, simply wet your hair and scalp, apply a small amount of the shampoo, and massage it into the scalp. Leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing thoroughly. You can use it twice a week for up to 4 weeks. If you experience any irritation or adverse effects, discontinue use and consult your healthcare provider.
Each Ketoconazole Shampoo contains Ketoconazole 2% as the active ingredient. Other ingredients include water, sodium laureth sulfate, and disodium laureth sulfosuccinate.
Common side effects of Ketoconazole Shampoo may include dry scalp, itching, or a burning sensation. In rare cases, severe allergic reactions or worsening of scalp conditions may occur. If you experience intense scalp irritation, swelling, or difficulty breathing, seek immediate medical help.
Avoid using Ketoconazole Shampoo if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under 12 years old, consult your doctor before using this product. Individuals with liver disease or a history of allergic reactions to similar medications should also seek medical advice before using Ketoconazole Shampoo.
