Evorel Conti is a hormone replacement therapy (HRT) patch that contains two active ingredients, estradiol and norethisterone. This medication works by supplementing the levels of these hormones in your body to relieve symptoms of menopause, such as hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, and mood swings. Evorel Conti is suitable for women who have had a hysterectomy and do not require a progestogen.
You will typically apply one Evorel Conti patch once a week to clean, dry, hairless skin. Rotate the application site to prevent skin irritation. It is important to follow the specific instructions provided in the package leaflet. Avoid applying the patch to areas with cuts, irritation, or where it may be rubbed by tight clothing. If you forget to change the patch, apply a new one as soon as you remember. If you experience any unusual symptoms or forget to change the patch for more than a week, consult your healthcare provider.
Each Evorel Conti patch contains 3.2 mg of estradiol and 11.2 mg of norethisterone as active ingredients. The patch also includes adhesive matrix, isopropyl myristate, Oleyl alcohol, and translucent backing membrane.
Common side effects of Evorel Conti may include breast pain, headaches, nausea, and skin reactions at the application site. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include chest pain, breathing difficulties, severe allergic reactions, and signs of a blood clot.
Do not use Evorel Conti if you have a history of certain medical conditions such as breast cancer, liver disease, or unexplained vaginal bleeding. This medication is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women. If you have a history of blood clots, heart disease, or are taking medications that may interact with HRT, speak to your doctor before using Evorel Conti.
