Evorel

Description

Evorel is a hormone replacement therapy (HRT) patch containing the active ingredient estradiol, which is a form of the female hormone estrogen. It is used to relieve symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes, night sweats, and vaginal dryness. Evorel is suitable for women experiencing menopausal symptoms.

Dosage and usage

You should apply one Evorel patch to clean, dry, unbroken skin once or twice a week as directed by your healthcare provider. The effects of the patch last for either three or four days depending on the type prescribed. If you forget to change the patch, apply a new one as soon as you remember. If you experience any unusual symptoms or side effects, contact your doctor.

Each Evorel patch contains estradiol hemihydrate as the active ingredient. The patch also includes other components such as acrylic adhesive, silicone adhesive, and backing film. The different types of Evorel patches contain varying amounts of estradiol hemihydrate, ranging from 25 to 100 micrograms.

Common side effects of Evorel may include skin reactions at the application site, breast pain, and headaches. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include chest pain, sudden shortness of breath, and signs of a blood clot.

Do not use Evorel if you have a history of breast cancer, blood clots, or liver disease. Additionally, if you have unexplained vaginal bleeding, consult your doctor before using this product. Evorel should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women. If you have a history of certain conditions like heart disease, discuss the risks and benefits of using Evorel with your healthcare provider.
