Domperidone

For adults, the typical dosage of Domperidone is 10mg taken three to four times a day. It is important not to exceed a maximum dose of 30mg in 24 hours. You should take Domperidone before meals to maximize its effectiveness. If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose. Remember, Domperidone may take a few days to show its full effects.

Each Domperidone tablet contains 10mg of the active ingredient domperidone maleate. Other components include lactose, maize starch, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silica, and sodium laurilsulfate.

Common side effects of Domperidone may include headache, dry mouth, abdominal cramps, and changes in appetite. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include irregular heartbeat, seizures, and allergic reactions such as rash, itching, or swelling.

Do not take Domperidone if you have a known hypersensitivity to domperidone or any of the other ingredients. It is not recommended for use in individuals with gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical obstruction, or perforation. If you have liver or kidney problems, consult your healthcare provider before using Domperidone. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also avoid this medication. If you experience chest pain, shortness of breath, or other unusual symptoms while taking Domperidone, seek medical advice promptly.
