Dermovate is a topical medication that contains the active ingredient clobetasol propionate, a potent corticosteroid. Dosage and usage

For Dermovate cream or ointment, apply a thin layer to the affected area once or twice a day as directed by your healthcare provider. Do not cover the treated area unless instructed to do so. Avoid using Dermovate on your face for more than 5 days in a row. If you forget a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. However, if it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one. If you accidentally swallow Dermovate, contact your doctor immediately.

Each gram of Dermovate cream/ointment contains 0.5 mg of clobetasol propionate as the active ingredient. The excipients include glyceryl monostearate, cetostearyl alcohol, chlorocresol, sodium citrate, citric acid, and white soft paraffin.

Side effects

Common side effects of Dermovate may include skin irritation, burning, or itching at the application site. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include thinning of the skin, stretch marks, or changes in skin color.

Do not use Dermovate if you are allergic to clobetasol propionate or any other ingredients in the product. Avoid using it on broken or infected skin. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using Dermovate.
