Colofac

Description

Colofac is a medication that contains the active ingredient Mebeverine Hydrochloride. It works by relaxing the muscles in your gut, helping to relieve symptoms such as stomach pain and cramps. Colofac is suitable for adults and children over 10 years old who are experiencing conditions like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

Dosage and usage

For adults, the usual dose is one tablet three times a day. You should take the tablet before meals with a glass of water. Do not take more than 3 tablets a day. If you forget a dose, just take the next dose at the usual time. If you take too much Colofac, contact your doctor or nearest hospital. If your symptoms do not improve after 2 weeks of treatment, consult your doctor.

Each Colofac tablet contains 135 mg of Mebeverine Hydrochloride as the active ingredient. Other ingredients include lactose, maize starch, polyvidone, talc, magnesium stearate, sucrose, gelatin, acacia, carnauba wax, titanium dioxide (E171), and iron oxide red (E172).

Common side effects of Colofac may include headache, dizziness, or gastrointestinal disturbances.
