Clenil Modulite is an inhaler used to treat asthma by reducing inflammation in your airways. It contains the active ingredient beclometasone dipropionate, a type of corticosteroid that helps prevent asthma symptoms like wheezing, shortness of breath, and coughing. This inhaler is suitable for adults and children who need regular treatment for asthma to control their symptoms.
For adults and children over 12 years old, the usual starting dose is two puffs twice a day. Your doctor may adjust this based on your condition. The effects of Clenil Modulite can last up to 12 hours. If you experience any worsening of symptoms or if you have to use your reliever inhaler more often, contact your doctor. Always follow your prescribed dosage and do not exceed it.
Each puff of Clenil Modulite contains 50 micrograms of beclometasone dipropionate. The inhaler also contains other ingredients like HFA 134a (1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane) and ethanol.
Common side effects may include sore throat, hoarseness, and thrush in the mouth. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include breathing difficulties, chest tightness, and allergic reactions like swelling of the face, lips, or throat.
Do not use Clenil Modulite if you are allergic to beclometasone dipropionate or any other ingredients. Inform your doctor if you have tuberculosis, a fungal, viral, or bacterial infection, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
