Beconase Nasal Spray

Description

Beconase is a nasal spray that contains the active ingredient beclometasone dipropionate. It works by reducing inflammation in your nasal passages, making it easier for you to breathe. Beconase is suitable for adults and children over 6 years old who suffer from allergies like hay fever. It helps relieve symptoms such as sneezing, itching, and a runny or blocked nose.

Dosage and usage

For adults and children over 12 years old, the usual dose is two sprays into each nostril in the morning and evening. For children aged 6-12 years, one spray into each nostril in the morning and evening is recommended. Avoid exceeding the recommended dose. It may take a few days for Beconase to reach its full effect. If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it's almost time for your next dose.

Each spray contains 50 micrograms of beclometasone dipropionate. The nasal spray also includes microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, dextrose, polysorbate 80, purified water, and the preservatives benzalkonium chloride and phenylethyl alcohol.

Common side effects of Beconase may include nasal dryness or irritation, sneezing, or altered taste and smell. Serious side effects are rare but may include severe nasal irritation or nosebleeds.
